The CLA-VAL 50-CF9 is typically installed upstream a tank. The valve opens when the liquid level reaches a preset low level, but maintains a constant upstream pressure to prevent “robbing” of upper zone.
Therefore the tank is filled only when upper zone demand is low enough (high upstream pressure) to allow the valve to open.
The Float Control may be installed at any elevation provided P1 (expressed in length) > D.
